What we did
Backlinked’s mission is to provide businesses and individuals with the tools and resources they need to achieve high-quality, sustainable backlinks that help them improve their search engine ranking, increase their website traffic, and build their online brand. Their goal is to help users create a strong online presence and drive more organic traffic to their websites, enabling them to reach a wider audience and grow their business. Backlinked approached us with the need to redesign their SaaS platform. We were tasked to enhance the platform’s user experience and aesthetic appeal through our web and SaaS design services. Our aim was to bring the platform to the next level in terms of functionality and visual design, ensuring that users have a seamless and enjoyable experience while using it.
The cross-functional teams at Backlinked and Slick joined forces to thoroughly examine all the available data and inputs to project optimal outcomes. The goal was to leverage this information to make informed decisions that would drive the project’s success. Throughout the process, our teams collaborated to identify the areas of improvement and acquire a deeper understanding of the project’s goals and expected outcomes. In parallel with the Hotjar and Google Analytics data, our team also conducted a comprehensive competitor analysis to gain insights into what similar products were offering and identify where competitors are succeeding and where there is a gap in customer needs. This information was valuable in guiding us toward a solution that met the unique needs of the users and differentiated Backlinked from their competitors. By taking this comprehensive approach to user research and analysis, we were able to develop a more informed, user-centered design strategy that would drive business growth.
In preparation for the UI/UX Design process, our team undertook a research initiative to gain a deeper understanding of Backlinked’s customers and to increase our knowledge of the intricacies of the product. This research effort was organized well in advance to ensure that we had adequate time to fully understand the needs and desires of the target audience. This information was used to craft a UX Strategy. In conducting this research phase, we were able to develop a solid foundation for the project and create a more user-centered design that met the users’ needs and the expectations of the business.
The process of improving our understanding of the user experience began with leveraging the insights provided by Hotjar. Our team meticulously analyzed dozens of user sessions, allowing us to use our expert knowledge to identify key pain points in the user journeys. Our research was further strengthened by gathering qualitative data from Google Analytics, providing a more comprehensive and robust understanding of the user experience. With these findings, the team was better equipped to identify areas for improvement and to design a solution that would exceed expectations.
